Growing Through This

This still seems unreal.

My biggest concern at the beginning of March was trying to create a more structured daily routine that incorporated resting and reading. I never thought a global pandemic would arise and change everyone’s life.

This lowkey feels like the scene from “ATL” when Rashad abruptly snatched New New’s necklace. She was hurt and disappointed when her treasured gift was taken away.

Isn’t that how we all feel?

One moment we’re living our best lives, then.. BAM. Corona (COVID-19) snatched our ability to see friends face-to-face, travel, eat at sit-down restaurants, workout at the gym and go to church without worry. I now realize I took these things for granted.

What working out at home looks like.

It’s so weird going to the grocery store with a mask on, purposely staying at least six feet away from everyone and not being able to hug people, which is really hard for me.

In the midst of this, I’ve realized that I have to accept our temporary new normal and adjust. I’m looking at this as a great time to reset and grow stronger spiritually and personally.

I want to use my time wisely to work on creative projects, do some self reflection and finish the books I’ve had on pause for a while.

No one wants to be in this situation, but all we can do is lean on each other to push through.

What’s keeping you motivated?

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
